CONFESSION + FORGIVENESS

Introduction

Confession brings freedom. We confess not to dwell on guilt but to receive God’s mercy and healing. In Anglican life, confession is woven into liturgy (“We have sinned against you in thought, word and deed…”), yet it can also be practiced privately and with a priest.

Jump right in!

  • At night, pray Psalm 51 slowly, pausing to name anything you need to lay before God.

  • Write down what you want to confess, pray over it, and tear it up as a symbol of forgiveness.
