Emmanuel Loughborough is looking to appoint a Church Office Administrator to bring efficiency and creativity to the day-to-day organisation of church life. You will be working as part of the operations team under the direction of the new Operations Director and will oversee a welcoming office hub for the church’s life and generally be the first point of contact for weekday visitors. You will be responsible for event bookings, the church membership database, general administrative support to the Rector and Associate Rector. You will also be secretary to the church council which will involve some evening meetings.
This is an exciting time at Emmanuel. As a resourcing church we have just planted a new congregation to a local estate and are starting to grow again as we look ahead to future plants and fresh expressions.
You will be systematic and organised in approach and also creative in ensuring that tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. You will be skilled with day-to-day office computer tools and comfortable to explore systems capabilities to find the best way to complete a particular task. Above all you will be a hospitable and efficient welcomer who is comfortable to greet and help church members, visitors and enquirers who arrive at the church centre during the week.
This is a new position at Emmanuel and the post holder will help to shape the role over the coming months.
You may presently be in any number of roles, what’s important above experience is your capability combined with your interest and passion for a church working well in pursuit of its mission to plant churches that plant churches.
