FUNERALS
A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is an opportunity to remember and give thanks to God for the life of a loved one, to commit their body to be buried or cremated and to comfort one another in grief.
Normally first contact between next of kin and the member of clergy taking the funeral service will be made through the Funeral Director, with the member of clergy then contacting the next of kin directly to discuss the deceased and make practical arrangements for the service.
We realise that people deal with grief in many different ways and at varying times. If you would value discussing this with someone we have a trained team of bereavement visitors who would be pleased to offer whatever help they can. Bereavement visitors can be contacted through the member of clergy taking the funeral or by contacting the office.
