We have activities and events throughout the year specifically for Senior Citizens which provide opportunities for fun and fellowship. Notably our monthly Lunch Club, quarterly Singalongs and annual Holiday at Home.
There are other groups within the church which may be of interest including;
Meets the second Tuesday of each month at 2.15pm and enjoys a variety of speakers and fellowship over a cup of tea.
Monday Morning Men’s Meeting is held at 10.30am on the second Monday of the month. Meetings are held at Emmanuel in the winter and St Mary in Charnwood in the summer and start with coffee. They enjoy a range of speakers, musical mornings and occasional outings and sometimes invite ladies to join them for lunch after their meetings. Download the 2019 programme here.
Formerly Young Wives but most are now retired. Meets at 7.30pm on alternate Monday evenings and has a varied programme.
There are also many opportunities for volunteering throughout the week.
Emmanuel warmly welcomes all overseas visitors new to Loughborough and to the UK.
We strongly recommend getting involved with one of the many communities at Emmanuel, which form the heart of the church. These groups will help and support you in settling into a new, sometimes lonely, environment. Speak to a member of the Welcome Team or a member of staff who will point you in the right direction!
Emmanuel is blessed with a wide range of flexible facilities, suitable for a variety of uses.
Within a few minutes walk of Loughborough town centre, close to Junction 23 of the M1 and within easy access of the train station, Emmanuel Loughborough makes the perfect home for your conference, meeting or function. The complex is served by two car parks, offering over fifty spaces, with the possibility of overflow car parking (by prior arrangement for evenings and weekends).
The site divides into two main areas, Emmanuel Church Centre and Emmanuel Church Hall, linked by a spacious area of grass.
Emmanuel Church Centre
A modern, well equipped series of large and small rooms built in the mid-1990’s and furnished to a high standard, Emmanuel Church Centre can be hired either as a whole, or in part.
A flexible space, which can seat 350 people, the church building is often used for conferences, concerts, as well as for church services.
It is equipped with a highly adaptable sound system and overflow balcony. There is also a side chapel which seats 25 people and can be used for private prayer, or an additional conference meeting room.
